There is always context.
context that you, as the person that just found out about the act are never fully aware of.
context that the act done was done in and because of.
context that you have to take into account if you are to understand what was done.
context that the actor acted upon, within and from.
context that, if you understood it, would lead you to empathy.
empathy through understanding...
which would lead you to the possibility of support and help rather than coercion and threat.
