Culture Change
A company's culture represents the environment its people work in. It reflects how the business operates, which, in turn, is a reflection of its leadership.
If you want a different culture, you need to change the way the business operates, which means changing the way it is led.
However, many people don’t see this connection and try to change the culture through campaigns or programs targeted directly at frontline workers, believing them to be acting under their own volition.
These campaigns and programmes might produce temporary changes, but failure is assured if the underlying operations of the company remain the same.
To achieve lasting change in behaviours and culture, the business must alter its operations to actively and purposefully create the desired culture and required behaviours.
